Alva IQ Roller shades can be securely mounted on doors. Some fabric movement may occur due to the motion involved when the door is opened or closed.

Yes, of course. Your Alva IQ Smart Shades can be controlled using Alexa or Google voice commands.

Alva IQ Automated Shades can be controlled with a remote control and using smart devices when you purchase the Smart Hub and download the Connector App.

The remote should operate your shades from a distance of up to 100 feet, but low remote power can shorten the distance.

This will depend on if you have a single-channel or 15-channel remote control.

You can use a multi-channel remote to operate individual shades or a group of shades with the touch of a button. You can program each button on this remote to a single shade or to a select group of shades that you want to control at the same time.

Yes. Our Connector App can be downloaded in the App Store or the Google Play store free of charge.

The Smart hub can only be paired to 2.4 GHz wi-fi networks. The Hub is successfully connected to wi-fi once the LED light on the face of the Hub shines blue. Note that when connecting the Smart Hub to your wi-fi network, interference may cause the initial connection to fail. If you receive a failed connection message, restart the process.

For inside mount a minimum 2” inch depth is required or a 3.65” inch for a flush inside mount.

When roller shades are up all the way, 3” inches of headrail will cover the window.

Yes, you can set the limits from the remote control or App you are using to operate the shades.

All Alva IQ Roller Shades are made of 100% polyester or polyester/vinyl material and have proved durable under various testing conditions such as high heat and humidity levels.

Our room-darkening and blackout fabrics prevent light from passing through the shade material. Depending upon the style and installation of the shade. When mounted inside the window frame, a ¾” light gap on either side can enter a room through the space between the edge of the shade and the window frame, allowing some light in around the edges of the window.

Ground shipping to American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands is calculated by USPS.

We calculate the cost of shipping, taxes and duties upfront for international orders so that you don't have any additional fees when your order arrives. Please note, duties and other international shipping charges are non-refundable.

We're confident you'll fall in love with your Alva IQ Smart Shades, but just in case you don't, we offer a return policy unheard of in Motorized Shades. Contact us within 30 days of delivery to return your smart shades and we'll come pick it up. Unless it is damaged, soiled, or excessively used, we'll refund you the full amount minus 15% of your purchase price to cover the pick-up and donation of your piece. All pieces must be successfully delivered before we can initiate a return.

Please note:

• Pieces that have been damaged, scratched, stained, or altered in any way are not eligible for return or exchange.
• We can only accept one return or exchange per household (identified by delivery address).
• 15% of your purchase price is withheld from all refunded pieces, including those that encounter manufacturing defects or transit damage. In these instances, every effort is made to restore the piece to its specifications, which may include a repair or replacement.
• All items must be sent back in the original packaging. If the original packaging is unavailable, the customer is responsible for arranging equivalent packaging.

Contact us within 30 days of delivery to exchange your Alva IQ Smart Shades for a new piece. Depending on the new piece ordered, we will either send you a custom invoice or refund you for the difference, this will include our 15% return and exchange fee. Please note we can only accept one exchange per household so the new piece will be final sale. Same-product exchanges only. Changes are restricted to size only. No cancellations on exchanges are allowed. Shipping fees are non-refundable.

• We stand by our Motorized Shades with a warranty that covers defects in materials and workmanship for one year, starting on the date of delivery. There are no fees to repair, replace, or return an item that's covered by our warranty. Get in touch with our team to get the process started.
• Please note that our warranty isn't transferrable; that is, it can't be extended to cover a re-sold item. Defects or damage caused by negligence, misuse, accidents, abnormal use, modifications, or commercial purposes will not be covered by the Alva IQ warranty.
